Detour To Tensleep

Before reaching Tensleep the highway is riddled with lots of hairpin turns such as the one shown in the sign below. Those kinds of road make it very difficult to enjoy the spectacular scenery - especially if you are the driver.

We saw a sign that was another route to Tensleep going into the canyon rather than staying on the paved highway. Of course, we decided to go that route.

This was a great ride down in the canyon. By the way, this was not a mountain in the forefront of this picture - that is a boulder that you had to drive around.
