While living in Japan, every week while I was in 5th grade we had a Japanese Culture Class where a sensai (teacher) would come in to teach us the Japanese language and customs. 

A Star Is Born

The program for the school play and concert of H.M.S. Pinafore on May 18, 1964 when I was 12 years old.  You could tell it was a military school since the play started at 1900 hours.

I had a starring/singing role in the play as Josephine, the captain's daughter.

And The Winner Is...

I won 3rd place in the Science Fair in Second Grade!  If I remember correctly this is the one where Mom helped me make a "peep box" filled with dinosaurs.  The peep box was made using a shoe box as shown below.  However, instead of a flap, we had holes poked in the top using something like a pencil or a pen. 

Years later, I helped Corey make something similar except his was made using artic animals.  We used styrofoam for floating icebergs and white glitter for snow effects.  I believe he won a prize for his peep box.  Thanks, Mom!
