This is pretty much the route Joe and I took today on our "little" excursion which lasted almost 12 hours and covered a lot of miles! But, it was well worth it and very, very enjoyable and fun.
In short, we left Casper, went to Alcova and took a scenic backway that was very beautiful over mountains and through canyons, short time on the interstate, hopped off again and took Snowy Range Road through the Medicine Bow National Forest, through Centennial (population 100), into Laramie (where we almost moved instead of Casper), through Medicine Bow, back through the Shirley Mountains and back into Casper. Whew!!!
Pictures and descriptions will follow as soon as possible.
