While staying with the kids last weekend, Joe and I got up very early Sunday morning to head to Redmond, Utah which is about 1 1/2 hrs. from where the kids live. We were going there to attend the "homecoming" of Sister Alisa Lyman who just completed here mission in our ward in Casper.
Redmond is out in the middle of nowhere and about the only thing we actually saw was a state prison. Joe said "why would anyone want to escape from there because there would be no place to go"!
We enjoyed our church experience and for some reason everyone knew we were new, hmmm. We found out that most of the people in her ward are related to her and in this small old pioneer town. After services, we were invited to come and have lunch with her family and friends.
