My parents never went to church so therefore neither did I. When I look back on that, it's rather strange that they didn't do so. My mom was raised in the Holiness church and my dad came from a solid Baptist background.
So, it was quite a surprise when I ran across my attendance card for attending Vacation Bible School when I was eight years old. The only other time I remember any church attendance was when visiting Grandmother Cattell just before leaving for Japan and I think it was Vacation Bible School at that time also.
