Ward Conference

Today was Ward Conference at the Casper 6th Ward. However, it was very different from the ward conferences in Tifton. How? Let's see...No shortened classes so that people could be selected from the congregation to speak unexpectedly; Relief Society and Priesthood were combined and there was NO potluck dinner afterwards!!! Can you believe that?!?! And look at all the time we would've had to prepare a few dishes - no getting up at 5:00 a.m. or coming in late for work cuz you were cooking.

It was a good attendance today. You can figure it out yourself how many...6 deacons x 6 empty trays = lots of people.

We are going to have the sister missionaries over to eat dinner sometime next week. We would have had them this week, but they are fed really well around here and the only night open is a dinner party for Joe and I. We get to go to the country club on Friday for cocktails and dinner as a company post-holiday party. Oh la la, huh? As somebody asked in our 6:30 a.m. meeting the other morning..."What time does the drunken brawl begin"?
