The Tetons

Driving through Teton National Forest... Is this like a "heaving bosom"?

definition: Frost heaving (or frost heave) is the process by which the freezing of water-saturated soil causes the deformation and upward thrust of the ground surface. This process can damage plant roots through breaking or desiccation, cause cracks in pavement, and damage the foundations of buildings, even below the frost line. Moist, fine-grained soil at certain temperatures is most susceptible to frost heaving.

This was the first time that Joe and I had ever been able to see the Tetons clearly. Other times the view had been hampered by wild fires. BEAUTIFUL!!!
