About To Be Famous People I Know

It occurred to me this weekend that I have another person (friend) that is on the verge of being famous. That makes three people I know immediately come to mind...

No. 1 - Jarrett Burns. His CD is supposed to be released the end of March and then who knows he could finally have his big break and become a big shot singer. I will then have some claim to fame with him about "knowing him before he was even born; our wedding was held as a part of his and Abinadi's Court of Honor, etc.,etc., etc.

No. 2 - Kirsten Underwood. She's gone to Nashville this weekend to sing at the White Horse Saloon and try to break into the country music scene and become the next Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood. I can say that she used to be one of my daycare kids who came to my home after school. (She doesn't look like a little girl anymore).

No. 3 - This is my good friend Tricia who lives in Florida. We were in the Air Force Family Child Care Project together for 2 1/2 years and have had LOTS of fun together during and after that time. I can't help smiling when I think about some of the things we've done together - with and without our hubbies!

She recently wrote something on her Facebook page that I didn't even know about. I am so impressed! Read what she wrote...

"Got a call from New York. My book, The Voice of America's Youth, is being put in the library on the USS New York as part of their tribute to Sept 11th. This is the Naval Battleship that was made from tons of World Trade Center steel. I am so honored"!

Here's what her book looks like. I've got to get a copy and have her autograph it!!!

Product Description:
As a former teacher, Tricia Stevens Hock has taught students of all ages. On September 11, 2001, she spent the morning experiencing horror, shock, and tears with a group of middle and high school students. For days following she envisioned children and teenagers sitting in classrooms across our nation, stunned, fearful, and confused by the largest tragedy this nation has ever seen. Tricia began the "Voice of America’s Youth" Book Project, an idea she describes as God-given, to open an avenue for students to express their reactions and feelings and to further their healing process. Capturing the voice of America’s youth in book form, so this generation can have a “time capsule” to share with their children and grandchildren in years to come, has been a true labor of love for Tricia. It is her gift to our nation, as we walk, together, out of the shadows of September 11.
Who knows, maybe one or some of these people will remember me when they get rich and leave me something in their will or take care of me in my old age?
