Heading to Kaycee, WY

The kids came for a visit this weekend - our first chance to visit since the family reunion. We were really excited for this visit since Derek had begun walking by himself. And he does walk really well now - there's no stopping him now.

After a week of nothing but rain, rain, rain, Saturday morning wound up being the beginning of a beautiful day. We made sandwiches, packed some drinks and chips and headed up the interstate to Kaycee. (What's special about Kaycee? Keep reading some of the following blogs).

While Corey, Nikki and I were packing the car, Grandpa Joe kept Derek entertained. Or did Derek keep Grandpa Joe entertained? Hmmm.

Everyone, yes everyone, made fun of my emergency filled trunk. And yes, it's like a moving 72+ hour kit. I've tried to prepare for any senario that might or could occur. One of these days, some thing in that trunk may be just what is needed for us or someone else. So go ahead and make fun of me - It doesn't hurt my feelings!
