Heading To Georgia - May 2010

It was time to head to Georgia once again for our annual family reunion. It hardly seems as though we'd not been back for a whole year and here we were packing our bags again. It was time to open up those Rubbermaid containers and sift through clothes which had been hidden away for the last year. And, it was hard deciding what to take. We were leaving Wyoming where it had snowed only two days before and heading to Georgia where it was already in the high 80's and low 90's.

Since I was able to book a round trip flight from Casper to Denver at the last moment, Joe and I didn't have to make the 4 - 4 1/2 hr. drive to Denver. Instead, we went to the Casper airport and caught a flight out at 6:00 a.m. That meant we had to wait about 4 hours at the Denver airport, but that was better than driving to me.

Here is Joe sitting in the Casper airport with a buffalo statue waiting for TSA to show up so we can go through security... Finally aboard the plane in our deluxe accommodations...

This is Joe pointing out how we'll have no problem finding the lavatory in case we need it for our 45 minute flight to Denver...

Sky scenes on the way to Denver...

Coming into Denver with the Rocky Mountains in the background...

Leaving on a jet plane - to Georgia!
A little naptime for Joe...
Our BIG, tummy-filling snack compliments of Delta...

We just flew over Uncle Dave's house. But, he couldn't wave since he was at Mom and Dad's home...
Look it's the interstate!

Yeah! We were finally back on Georgia soil!
